BEACH FRONT VILLA

This villa is right on the beach and at high tide the water goes under the verandah. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, the third bedroom has a double and a single bed. The hall hosts the second bathroom and a small kitchen with mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. The large verandah has a three piece lounging chairs and coffee table, as well as a six chair dinner table. Due to the wonderful location and superb natural facilities, Minang Cove Resort has an abundance of activities right on our doorstep. From the resort beach you can enjoy snorkelling, sea kayaking and scuba diving. In addition and within a short boat trip you can play an 18 hole golf course.

Jungle Trekking

Words alone cannot express the atmosphere felt once you step into Tiomans tropical rainforest. The sights, sounds and smells are so unique. A 45 mins trek takes you into Kampong Mukut, a small fishing village. 1 hour 45 mins takes you to Tiomans largest Waterfall. Here you may swim in the cool, refreshing pool at the base of the falls. . For the more adventurous, climb one of the 2490ft "Twin Peaks". Only for the very fit and must be accompanied by a guide.

Snorkeling

Great fun for the whole family. Whether you snorkel off the beach or take a boat to one of the small islands, you will be amazed by the beauty of the coral reefs and its inhabitance. They have floats and rings for the not so strong swimmers. Masks, snorkels and fins can be rented at the resort.

Diving

Under the guidance of an experienced Dive Master or instructor explore all local sites, each having their own individual characteristics. The South China Sea hosts prolific marine life consisting of Dolphins, Turtles, Sharks, Rays, Barracudas and many others. See the dedicated Scuba Dive page for more information.

Dive from their purpose built speedboats, and their staff will bring you to a variety of dive sites. Diving in Tioman is a wonderful experience. Visibility is incredible and offers many beautiful reefs. They have a well equipped Dive centre for all your diving needs. 

Tioman has warm, clear water, where you will encounter beautiful tropical fish, soft corals, giant table coral formations, as well as variety of other marine life. The speedboats are outfitted with the latest safety features and designed for comfort in order to give you the best diving experience possible. At Pulau Jahat 10 minutes from their resort, you can see a dramatic series of underwater pinnacles and coral bommies. The best area of the site is at around 12 meters where you will be in awe of the soft coral gardens and the hard coral variety. Sepoy Rock, Bahara & Jahat are just a few minutes away from Minang Cove Resort. Among other popular dives are Chebeh, Fan Canyon,Teluk Kador, Malang Rock, Labas, Tiger Reef, Soyah, Salang Bay, Marine Park and Renggis.

You can also dive from the beach in front of the resort. No need to go far to discover extensive marine life. The dive range is between 6m and 27m. The resort wreck site is at 12 meters, which makes for an easy but interesting beach dive.

The visibility is at its best and can reach up to 30m from March till October. One of the worlds best dive sites, its spectacular underwater landscape, attracts large numbers of fish.

Island Tour

Selesa Tioman Condo Hotel

Selesa Tioman Hotel is a cluster of family apartments at Tioman Horizon Condotel, located at the western edge of Berjaya Tioman Resort on a hilly cape that overlooks sea cliffs and rocky waters at Tekek. Offering some of the largest, yet cheapest, accommodation on Pulau Tioman, it's an ideal choice for budget travel - but keep in mind its isolation and distance away from restaurants, shops and other conveniences at the nearest town (2.5km to Tekek). A free shuttle service is available to the airport, jetty or entrance gate of Berjaya Resort to make travel easier. Japamala Resort by Samadhi is Tioman Island’s only boutique resort and one of the three Samadhi Retreat properties in Malaysia. RUSTIC-LUXE DESIGN & PHILOSOPHY

During the ten-year process of creating Japamala, they ensured that the plants, animals and land had been disturbed as little as possible. It has always been their goal to build around nature - to respect and preserve the inherent beauty of this destination, and to coexist with all who dwell here. Great care has been taken to minimize any environmental impact. No rocks were moved and no trees were cut down. As a result no two Villas are the same and each is unique - taking on the character of the land upon which it is built. 

The 'rustic yet luxurious' design that runs throughout all our rooms at Japamala, stems from our owners' deep love and respect for mother nature.

The timber, which is the material used most in Japamala, has been salvaged from old 'kampung' (village in Malay) houses throughout the country. The liberal use of bamboo and other natural materials in all our interior and exterior designs are sourced and bought from the Orang Asli, which are the indigenous tribes in Malaysia.

This essence of borrowing from nature and blending it with polished cement and tall glass windows, create the ideal look that is quintessentially 'Japamala'.

All wooden fixtures are handmade by the resort's own craftsmen on the island. The fusion of styles, marrying fabric used in the ornamentation and upholstery of furniture, imparts and air of soft, island-chic living.

Treetop Chalets

Perched high above the luxuriant jungle canopy, these chalets are secluded yet situated only a short walk up from the beach. These rooms offer an entirely different resort experience, in fact their very proximity to nature make these chalets so keenly sought after. With the beach at its doorstep and the jungle at its backyard, Penghulu's House is the resort's only two-storey, two-bedroom villa. It is designed to evoke the sense community within a village, and its rustic-luxe rooms are fitted with all the comforts of an urban home. Built around the natural environment, an ancient boulder has been left to furnish its interior, whilst its lofty windows offer striking views of the nature that surrounds it.

The Atas Residence (main bedroom) offers the luxury of a vast living space which opens out to a spectacular view of the sea.

Paya Beach Resort is a family hotel at Paya Village, nestled along its eastern shore. Composed of chalets and duplex units inspired by traditional village design, the hotel provides accommodation in boutique or budget rooms equipped with modern facilities including air-conditioning and hot water.
